For your next catering event, consider serving mini burgers!

They’re a delicious and easy-to-eat option that will please all your guests. Plus, they’re perfect for both casual and formal gatherings.

At Elizabeth Andrews, the chefs make thousands of mini burgers weekly, so they are definitely the experts in keeping guests happy.

To make the best mini burgers, start with high-quality beef.

Choose a leaner cut like chuck or sirloin for the best flavour, but it is always to ask your local butcher. Once you’ve selected your beef, have the butcher grind it for you. The fresher the beef, the better the burgers will taste.

Mini-Burger Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 8-10 slices of bacon – cooked
  • 10 cherry tomatoes – sliced in half
  • 5 lettuce leaves
  • 5 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 12 Mini brioche buns

Method

Combine ground beef,  salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly with your hands until the meat is evenly seasoned.

Shape the ground beef into twelve small patties, about 1 cm thick each. Grill over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked through.

Assemble each mini-burger by layering a piece of bacon, a tomato half, some lettuce, and a slice of cheese onto the bottom bun.

Add your condiment of choice such as tomato sauce, relish, mayo, or mustard. Top with the cooked mini-burger, then place on top of another mini-bun to complete your tasty mini-burger stack! Enjoy your next catering event or party!
